Industrial Visit - SK Somaiya: BFM Students

Date: 17th January 2013

An Industrial Visit is considered as one of the most tactical methods of teaching. As a component of FPA’s corporate social responsibility (CSR activity) FPA decided to create further awareness for the students. FPA envisions making ‘informed investors’ of our youth.

Based on this concept FPA started by successfully providing Industrial Visit on 17th January, 2013 to students of Bachelors in Financial Markets (BFM), S.K.Somiya College. Students visited a broking company; Sykes & Ray Equities Pvt. Ltd. (Parent company of FPA) followed by Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) & was then guided by professional industrial speakers on various aspects of Financial Markets.

“Sykes & Ray Equities (SRE)” is one of the foremost retail stock broking service entities of the country's two major exchanges. It has strong presence in over 140 locations across India through a network of business associates and branches. This activity mainly helped students get insights regarding the internal working environment of a company, functioning of various departments, as well as useful information related to the practical aspects of being a CFP which cannot be visualized in lectures.

FPA is proudly offering these kinds of Industrial Visits to all the students taking up CFPCM Certification Program with us and we are confident of thus providing our students with one more edge & opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices.
